Job Description

● Lead end-to-end cloud migration projects from assessment through execution and post-
migration optimization
● Design comprehensive migration strategies including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and
re-architecting
● Conduct detailed assessments of existing on-premises and legacy infrastructure
● Develop migration roadmaps, timelines, risk assessments, and resource plans
● Architect target cloud environments ensuring scalability, high availability, security, and
cost efficiency
● Design and execute database migration strategies with zero data loss and minimal
downtime
● Lead application modernization initiatives, migrating monolithic applications to
microservices
● Implement migration automation using AWS Migration Hub, DMS, CloudEndure, Azure
Migrate
● Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for
repeatable migrations
● Migrate workloads to Kubernetes environments (EKS, GKE, AKS) with GitOps workflows
● Establish CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments during and after migration
● Design and implement security controls, IAM policies, and compliance frameworks
during migrations
● Conduct performance testing and optimization of migrated workloads
● Implement post-migration monitoring, logging, and observability solutions
● Optimize cloud costs post-migration through rightsizing, autoscaling, and lifecycle
management
● Troubleshoot migration issues including compatibility, performance, networking, and
data integrity
● Document migration processes, runbooks, and lessons learned

Job Requirement

5+ years of professional experience in cloud migrations and infrastructure
● Proven track record of successfully leading multiple cloud migration projects
● Strong hands-on experience with:
● AWS (EC2, EKS, ECS, S3, VPC, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB, Lambda, Route53)
● Azure (App Services, VNet, Azure Migrate, Database Migration Service)
● GCP (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Database Migration Service)
● Migration tools (AWS Migration Hub, DMS, SMS, CloudEndure, Azure Migrate)
● Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates)
● Container migration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, GKE, AKS, Fargate)

Migration Strategies:
● Lift-and-shift (rehosting)
● Re-platforming and re-architecting
● Hybrid cloud migrations
● Application modernization
Databases:
● SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle)
● NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cosmos DB)
● Database replication, high availability, disaster recovery
Networking & Security:
● VPC design, subnetting, routing, peering
● VPN, DirectConnect, ExpressRoute
● Load balancers, firewalls, security groups
● IAM, encryption (KMS), SSL/TLS, WAF
● Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, GitOps)
● Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK/OpenSearch)
● Strong understanding of virtualization (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V)
● Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
● Experience working with AI tools to accelerate migration execution

Nice-to-Have Skills
● Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, GCP
Professional Cloud Architect)
● Experience with serverless migration strategies (Lambda, Azure Functions)
● Knowledge of data migration for analytics platforms (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake)
● Experience with SAP, Oracle EBS, or ERP migrations to cloud
● Familiarity with compliance frameworks (PCI DSS, GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2)
● Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and security scanning tools
● Experience with service mesh technologies
● Experience working in agile or scrum-based methodologies
● Strong presentation and workshop facilitation skills
● Ability to mentor teams on migration best practices
● Willingness to stay current with migration tools and methodologies
● High sense of ownership and accountability for migration outcomes
