DevOps Engineer

Job Description

As DevOps Engineer at CloudlyIO, you will build and own the delivery infrastructure and automation systems that allow our engineering teams to ship fast and safely. You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage containerized deployments, automate operational processes, and ensure that our software delivery lifecycle is reliable, repeatable, and continuously improving.This is a role for someone who takes genuine pride in clean automation, well-structured pipelines, and the kind of invisible infrastructure excellence that lets product teams focus entirely on building great AI.

Job Requirement

CI/CD & Delivery Pipelines
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across CloudlyIO's product portfolio using GitLab, Jenkins, and related tooling
  • Manage software releases, hotfixes, and deployment automation across development, staging, and production environments
  • Integrate automated testing at multiple levels into the delivery pipeline, including unit, integration, and system tests
  • Maintain the build farm, deployment environments, and all CI infrastructure
Infrastructure Automation
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible to ensure reproducible, auditable environments
  • Automate operational tasks, environment provisioning, and configuration management using Bash and Python scripting
  • Work with AWS services including EC2, EKS, ECS Fargate, RDS, IAM, S3, VPC, Lambda, Route 53, and CloudWatch
Container & Orchestration Management
  • Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes across development and production environments
  • Build and maintain Helm charts, Kubernetes manifests, and deployment configurations
  • Optimize container resource allocation and cluster performance
Observability & Reliability
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting infrastructure using Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Elasticsearch, and CloudWatch
  • Define reliability metrics and build dashboards that give engineering teams clear visibility into system health
  • Troubleshoot pipeline failures, deployment issues, and infrastructure problems with precision and urgency
Collaboration
  • Work in small, focused agile teams alongside product engineers, ML engineers, and platform teams
  • Serve as the go-to resource for software development teams on deployment, infrastructure, and delivery pipeline questions
  • Document all systems, pipelines, and procedures clearly and keep documentation current

YOU MAY BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on DevOps or platform engineering experience in production cloud environments
  • Strong proficiency in Linux systems administration and hands-on Bash and Python scripting
  • Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes including managed services such as EKS or ECS Fargate
  • Solid AWS experience across EC2, RDS, IAM, S3, VPC, Lambda, and CloudFormation
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Ansible
  • Working knowledge of Nginx, reverse proxy configuration, and web serving infrastructure
  • Experience with databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch, and caching systems such as Redis
  • A disciplined, ownership-driven approach to operational work including comfort with planned after-hours deployment windows when needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • AWS certification such as Solutions Architect Associate or SysOps Administrator
  • Linux certification such as RHCE or equivalent
  • Kubernetes certification such as CKA
  • Experience with GCP or Azure environments
  • Familiarity with security practices including network hardening and DDoS mitigation
  • Experience supporting AI or ML workloads in production
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
