Solution Engineer, CloudlyPulse
Job Description
As Solution Engineer for CloudlyPulse, you will work directly with manufacturing plants, industrial enterprises, and operations teams to deploy CloudlyPulse in some of the most technically heterogeneous environments imaginable: plant floors running machines from multiple decades, operating on fragmented control systems, with critical operational knowledge locked in PLC logic and the minds of experienced operators.Your job is to understand that environment deeply, connect CloudlyPulse to what is already there, and ensure that the system goes live with zero operational disruption and immediate value for the people who depend on it.
ABOUT CLOUDLYPULSE
CloudlyPulse is an edge-first operational system built for brownfield industrial environments. It unifies real-time monitoring, deterministic control, alarm management, and configuration diagnostics in a single coherent interface, running close to the PLC and working with the equipment already installed on the plant floor, without replacing existing control logic or disrupting operations. CloudlyPulse makes industrial operations intelligible, giving operators clear visibility into process variables, equipment state, process flow mapping, and abnormal conditions in real time.Job Requirement
- Lead technical discovery with plant engineering and operations teams to document existing PLC systems, equipment inventory, control logic, communication protocols, and operational priorities
- Design CloudlyPulse integration architectures that connect to existing equipment and control systems without replacing PLCs or disrupting established operational workflows
- Own deployment engagements end to end: configure real-time monitoring parameters, map process variables to the plant layout interface, set up alarm conditions, and validate that the system accurately reflects live plant behavior
- Work alongside the sales team in pre-sales technical conversations, demonstrating CloudlyPulse in the context of each prospect's specific operational environment
- Configure Manual, Auto, and Remote operating mode controls and set up capacity and load control parameters appropriate for each customer's processes
- Support customers through commissioning, operator training, and early production operation to ensure confident adoption by plant floor teams
- Build and maintain deployment documentation, configuration guides, and integration templates for CloudlyPulse customer engagements
- Relay customer feedback, operational observations, and integration challenges to the CloudlyPulse product and engineering teams
YOU MAY BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE
- 2 to 4 years of experience in solution engineering, industrial automation, OT systems integration, or technical consulting in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Working familiarity with PLC systems, control logic concepts, and industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC-UA, or Profinet
- Ability to read and interpret plant schematics, P&ID diagrams, or equipment documentation
- Experience deploying or integrating software systems in operational technology environments with minimal disruption to active production
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust with plant operators, maintenance engineers, and operations directors
- Proficiency in Python, REST APIs, or scripting for configuration and data validation
- Comfort working in industrial environments including on-site plant visits when customer deployments require it
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with SCADA systems, HMI software, or industrial automation platforms
- Familiarity with edge computing deployment in industrial or field environments
- Knowledge of safety standards relevant to industrial control systems such as IEC 62443 or IEC 61508
- Experience in manufacturing, utilities, oil and gas, or similar industrial sectors
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Science, or a related field
